HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE WORLD STROKE CONGRESS, TORONTO, OCT 10-12TH, 2023

October was a busy month for us at ISRRA. Several of our very own representatives from came together, from around the world, to attend the 15th World Stroke Congress (WSC). Among our attendees, we had several members for who currently serve ISRRA leads for different groups, meet some of the new members of our Emerging Leaders Group, featured below:

UNVEILING THE THIRD STROKE RECOVERY AND REHABILITATION ROUNDTABLE (SRRR-3) RECOMMENDATION PAPERS

n behalf of the SRRR3 chairs and members, we are excited to share four consensus-based recommendations from SRRR3 launched at the World Stroke Congress in Toronto, Canada.

SRRR3 recommendations cover fatigue, non-invasive brain stimulation, standardised measurement of balance and mobility outcomes, and control intervention design. Recommendations are published in the International Journal of Stroke and co-published in Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair.

SRRR3 outputs are the result of nearly two years of international collaboration between over 50 stroke experts from 20 different countries, with the purpose to collectively advance the science of stroke recovery globally. All current and past SRRR papers can be freely downloaded from: https://journals.sagepub.com/page/wso/srrr.

We hope you enjoy reading the SRRR-3 consensus statements and integrate their recommendations into your practice.
